Oakville student Soheila D.K. Mosun met The Honourable Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, during her visit to Appleby College in Oakville Nov. 3.
Dowdeswell was there to learn more about Soheila’s inspirational youth movement organization, Selfless 16™ (selfless16.com), which aims to inspire and encourage teens and young adults to give back to the community by organizing a ‘Selfless 16’ celebration.
The purpose of a Selfless 16™ event is to encourage awareness for a chosen cause or causes, to encourage youth to self-reflect and through a Selfless 16™ Celebration, help define what causes they are passionate about.
